Pencil People, #3

Well, she was fun to draw, even if her legs are slightly too long and thin to be realistic.

So, what've I been doing lately? Um... Drawing. And hanging out with my friend Betsy. A lot.
...And painting, and dreaming up ways to piece Sharpie's life back together. Honestly, I dug myself into a pit here. There's this person she absolutely hates, and I need to get her to like him again, but she's kind of passionate, and it's hard to change her mind about people. So I'm wondering if maybe I should have him help her out in some huge way, or catch her at a really emotional moment and apologize for being a total JERK to her. It's hard, organizing peoples' lives.

Quick Stuff

John Pendragon and Kenzie Gordon

Arch Turnsfeld and Kathleen Yarrow

Douglas Fort and Stephanie Furn

The first one, undecided.

The second one, well that's what Coldplay does to me. And that's a scar above his eye, and a tear below.

The third one, they're siblings, and aren't they just adorable??? I've decided that they're step siblings and that he's the best step brother anyone could ever ask for. And that's a scar below his eye.

I can't decide which guy I like best, I like them all in different ways.
As for the girls, I think I definitely like Steph best.

I did these this afternoon, it was really nice to just sit a draw for hours on end eating candy and listening to music.
But now I feel super out of shape. =P
Nighty night!

OH and it's NOT Stephanie FUM it's FURN ugh...
Same with TURNSFELD. :-/

Latest sketch!

So here's the second picture I drew using the figures book that Mom got me! I don't know who this gal is, but she seems to be older than most of my characters. Maybe she's Sharpie once she's gone to college. Who knows.

After I finish my barrage of girl pictures, maybe I'll try a few guys. I think they're tougher to draw, but that's just me! Anyway, lemme know what you think!

I think I'll name her Ariadne...

Okay, so itscanned awfully. If you want to see it look better, you're just going to have to come over and see it with your own eyes.
I did this one last night as I was thinking how I didn't use watercolor pencils enough. It looks fine in real life, but it just looks meh on here! I did another one today, but it scanned even worse than this, so you won't be seeing it over the net!

Hope you like it!

Sharpie is sad again...

So, one of the drawing books I got for Christmas was called something along the lines of "Figure it Out," by Christopher Hart. Now, normally, his instructional books are great in the way of tips and references, but his step by steps are difficult. But in THIS book, I found them incredibly easy to follow and cool!
Anyway, this is Sharpie. Again. I think this picture happens around the time she has a fight with her friend, Libby. Or maybe it's after she has a fight with Owen... Not sure yet.
(PS. You can find a picture of both Owen AND Libby in that one post with the picture of kids on the roof. You know, the one with fireworks and stuff.)

And I just want to add as a parting note...
Lost got a total of 8 posts out of that drawing of her six boys. 8 posts. I demand justification. IT STILL ONLY COUNTS AS ONE!

ARThur

No, I won't go through them all individually again, but I just digitally enhanced all of their faces.

It was the most tedious thing I've done since last summer, and I think I like it as a normal drawing better anyway, but I just can't squeeze enough posts out of this one. So here they are.

Oh, and I'm naming my tablet *ahem* *hesitates slightly* *ahem* ....
ARThur, to make everyone hate me so they'll all fund my move to England.
And that's pronounced ART-thur. Hehehe.

I'm going to caption all of my posts done from the computer as ARThur now, so you may all want to mentally prep yourselves. I am THAT determined to live in England.

Bobbing Bee

I lost sleep last night, trying to decide wether or not I should bob my character Sharpie's hair. Now, thanks to my pal, I'm thinking of bobbing Bee's hair instead. She has that kind of personality a lot more, I think. Sharpie's a little too crazy for anything like a bob--she's more of a flyaway 'do.

So I just went shopping to exchange my two right footed Uggs for a normal pair, and we stopped by Target on the way back. Now I have more artsy supplies! I just love artsy supplies. They're so artsy.
(Go figure.)

Merry Christmas from FOUND.

This happens to me every single holiday. I'm like, "Oh! I should go wish all our followers a happy (insert holiday here.)" Then I sign on....
And Lost already did it. WHY?
So this time I am posting after her post to say the same thing that she just said. Merry Christmas, all!
Since I'm posting anyway, I'm going to just sum up my Christmas so far. In the small hours of the morn, I was singing my head off at midnight Mass in the choir. Gosh, it was HOT UP THERE. Then we came home and I got four hours of sleep before my lovely little brother crept into my room.
"Josie! It's Christmas! Wake up!" he says.
"Gaaaa-aah?" I reply.
We slithered downstairs, and after the reletives woke up, I had the pleasure of watching my littlest sister celebrate her first comprehensive Christmas by opening her stocking...
"MAKE UP!!!!!" she shouts.
It was a really lovely morning. Except for the fact that the manufacturers of my new Ugg boots thought that I had two right feet and shipped accordingly. What am I supposed to do with two right footed Uggs? I guess the 26th of December will involve heading out and returning them... (Which is cool with me, since I love shopping!

Before I bore you all to death, I'm going to sign off. So Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Lost here.
So, I got a drawing tablet for Christmas. This was the first thing I drew with it. So excited!
Anyway, I also got a ton of new pencils and pens and a HOW TO crime noir comic book, so I'm basically set for life.
Have a fantastic Christmas!

Yours Truly, the pencil mourner.

Okay, so I know it looks disgustng because of all the graphite dust. I did this on line paper at choir practice, so it's not like wonderful or anything. But it was fun to do and I wanted to share it.
And yes. I lost my wonderful pencil. It was so wonderful. REST IN PIECE, PENCIL. YOU WERE GREATLY ESTEEMED.

Anyway, I'm working on this picture for this gal, and it's kind of big, so it'll be a while before I can post it... until then, SO LONG!

Revella Shroud

I came up with that name on the spot to deceive you all into thinking I knew some about her but I was listening to music when I drew her so I couldn't come up with any of my clever backstories.
I'm sorry for the grievous disappointment. I'll try to make it up to you all.
I believe Found has family visiting, with the holidays and all, so I'd imagine she's a bit busy.
Of course I'll check again tomorrow and she'll have booted me off the page again.
Oh no, don't shed tears for me, I'm used to it.
G'night!

The Path

I had a dream last night that I was walking down a path like this one with an old friend... That I'd never met before. We were talking about somebody else, I can't remember who, then we got to this lamp post, he disappeared, and I woke up. *puts on spooky face* I believe it was a vision, because, after all, I am an artist... Perhaps this is a bad omen of something yet to come... *takes off spooky face* I used the same colored pencil to do the whole thing, and it's kinda' dull now, so I'll be off to sharpen it. It looks better in the flesh than it does in the scan, but alas, there is nothing I nor anyone can do.
But I must be off. Pencil's waiting and whatnot.

Ero Lost

I'm sick like a dog right now, so this may be the last post I put on here for a little while.

Ero likes to listen. Most people love talking, about their lives, their hardships. She just prefers to listen.
Ero has 'friends', but they're obnoxious and frustrating so she got a dog to spend time with instead. Ero's tough as nails, you can never tell when she's insulted. She likes to mind her own business, fight her own battles. She has a quirky sense of style and a cute snide sense of humor that occasionally peeks from behind the clouds, but overall she's just quiet and hard working.

(I'm not sure what to put in her hand. At first I thought "A knife!" And then I thought "A flashlight!" And then "But why???")

So hungry....

Just letting y'all know that I haven't completely abandoned you yet--Here's this request I did for this girl named Tavita. It's her sister on the left and her on the right.
Okay, so, almost through all of my requests--and then NO MORE until I say so. So there. I just need to be more in control of what I'm drawing--I mean, I have all these great ideas, and I haven't done them yet. :( So prepare for a stream of pictures, probably starting after Christmas.

Have to go eat something, talk to y'all later! :)

Daniel Mason

This is Daniel Mason.
Yeah, I haven't done any computer pics recently, cuz I just have NOT had enough time to sit down and draw a picture. Like, I was cleaning up all of yesterday, and then I had a class, and AUGH so much stuff to do! But I did this picture and let my friend (who was over at the time) name him. So Daniel Mason it is.

Well, tell me what you think!

Christmas with the Family...

I was at choir last night and drew a pic kind of like this in my notebook. Since it was on line paper, I didn't wanna post it, so I redrew it on regular paper and scanned it onto the computer. It's of two peeps spending Christmas with the boy's relatives. (They're engaged.) I thought it'd be fun to leave part of it grey and part of it red, and I kind of like the effect. Though it was much better in person.

Faith_Lonewolf's Request

So, I made a huge mistake. After I did that request for Silverstorm, a bunch of people asked if I was doing requests... And I said yes. So now I'm completely swamped. I HAD FIVE REQUESTS IN ONE DAY. What is UP with that? I'm never going to catch up!
Anyway, these are some of a different girl's charries. The red headed kid's name is Kibbie, the girl who's eyes you can't see's name is SJ, and the wolf is Arno.
Man, people like wolves. I'm gonna get really good at these at some point.
Anyhoo, I figure I don't have time to put a background on these people unless they speciphically ask for one, since I want to kind of get through the load. But anyway....

First Sunday of Advent! I suppose this means that I should start Christmas shopping, but I haven't been able to get my parents to take me anywhere and we all know I can't drive.
Legally, anyway. :P

Hope everyone's been doing well--The weather out here is super rainy, so I'm assuming it must be wicked cold/snowing on the east coast.

MY WOLFY!!!!!!

This is a request I did for a girl on a forum I'm on. Her username was Silverstorm, and these were some of her charries. I have to say, I'm pleased with the wolf. I'm never done a wolf before, so it came out reasonably well for a first timer.

Above is the reference picture I used, so someone can tell me what I need to do differently. Also, the blue stuff on the wolf--I have no idea what those are, I just drew what I was asked to draw. So sue me.
I'm thinking about taking more requests, just cuz they're fun. Also it might get me thinking outside the box a little more--I had boatloads of joy with this pic, even though it's kinda rushed. (She was leaving the forum, so I had to hurry.)

Ha, Lost. Take that! I have the first post again! *Dances around in ecstasies* Lalalala I WIN. (I'm such a kind friend, aren't I?)

ADAM CARTER: A Good Thief

So you guys know how I said earlier that I wouldn't be able to finish him before tomorrow? Well I was just kidding. And you know how I said he was a 'good' thief? Well by that I meant he's very good at thieving, not morally GOOD, like the parable. Anyway, Adam's claims to fame are that he's an excellent pickpocket and that he's a magnificent whistler. Adam also ran away from home when he was young, so you know, it's sort of survival thieving, not just a hobby.
 G`night!

James. ...Again...

*sigh*
AGAIN. WITH THE SKIN.
Oh well. The computer can be racist against pale people if it has too, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop drawing them. This is James, from a while back, again. I'm actually not sure if I'm going to make this him, I was just experimenting with really LOOONG profiles and decided to make his eyes a weird colour and his hair blonde. Looks kind of like Tintin, now that I think about it. Think what you will, but for now I'm pretending it's James.
Thus concludes my posting spree of the day, unless I end up drawing my good thief friend Adam, though it isn't likely I'd finish him before tomorrow.
BUT STAY TUNED FOR
Adam Carter, a good thief.

Cinderella

Here's an account of 'Cinderella' from the perspective of one of her (former) miscreant friends:

Few people know this besides myself, but before Cinderella 'grew up' and all, she was much easier to put up with. She didn't care what the state of her hair was, I was her only friend, and she never complained. Yes, okay, her life was tough back then, being a slave girl and all, but why do YOU think the prince liked her so much? She was sweet, humble, gentle, imaginative, quirky. She was DIFFERENT from all of the snobby royal folk he was used to. But then this big fat stupid fairy-godmother-in-law turned her into a total diva, and now she's just an insufferable little cockroach.
Oh yes, me and Cinders go WAAAY back.
But nevermind that. I don't see her anymore, now that she's all 'MARRIED', but I just thought Cinderella deserved to be known to the world as she was in her prime:
a lovely, friendless slave.

Sharpie! (Yet again...)

Credit for the background idea goes to my brother.
Anyway, this is Allison Sharp, a character who's pretty much exactly like me, cuz all my characters end up that way. I start with a whole idea, but by three paragraphs in, she's yours truly. With different hair.  And face.
I draw Sharps a lot. I should probably start doing someone else...

I can't think. Did you know that turkey has a sedative in it? That's why everyone's so tired after eating Thanksgiving dinner. And when I'm tired I can't think. True story.

One more thing--our desktop picture is a shot of my baby brother kissing a statue of a marble bear right on the mouth. So funny. He was sitting next to it in the park and Mom was taking pictures of him--Hehe...

Anyway, this is Eric Wye, (Eric copyright ME) I'm not really sure what his story is, or even what he's looking at, but Found wanted me to post for a really long time, and I don't have anything to post, so I'm posting other people's stuff. Sad Sharpie...

This is Sharpie. Allison Sharp, actually. I posted her about three times so far, I think. Anyway, it's an unfinished picture, and I'm trying to figure out what the background should be. She's crying about something or other, and FYI her hair is usually a lot neater than that. And she's wearing a sports jersey over a long sleeved T. Anyhoo, if you have any ideas fo rthe background, puh-lease comment and help me out!

Me... Again....

Well, it's Thanksgiving. Another year come and gone. Family, Friends, Pie. Doesn't get much better than that.

This is a weird picture of yours truly that I messed up on--I parted my hair on the wrong side again. It's cuz whenever I look in the mirror, it looks like it's parted on the other side. Happens to me all the time--I always draw myself wrong.
I had a dream, probably brought on by a conversation I had, about a bunch of my chibis jumping out of their pictures and running wild. They were about 6 inches tall, and I was running around the room trying to collect them all before they damaged anything. Eventually I rounded them all up and made them jump back inside their pictures. And then I woke up. What a creepy mind I have.

Sleepless

I'll go into the pic in a second. First what I need to say is....
WOW, Lost! REAL mature! Draw ONE picture and make 7 posts out of it! Boot me off the front page, will you? Well, I'll have my revenge. Oh, yes. My revenge...
Hehe....

Well, I don't really understand this picture. I mean, I feel like I know the girl a little, and have a possible story for her, but I don't understand what she's doing up at 2 in the morning. Sleepless nights are awful. Maybe she has some awful assignment to turn in, or a friend is sick. Maybe she's going blind and she knows it's only a matter of time. Maybe she lost a family member or hurt someone's feelings and regrets it. Maybe she's crying over a petty concern, or maybe it's important. That's the thing about me. Not only do I have to stress out over my own problems, I have the weight of an overactive imagination to tack on more issues. I stress about school, and then I also feel bad for the problems that I myself inflict on people that do not even exsist. I guess I'm just bizarre like that.

Ford

Ford's small and slightly on the nerdier side, his passion is basically math, making him arm-in-arm with Houston. He's a borne mathematician--he can crunch numbers like the devil. A human calculator. He's awkward, EXTREMELY shy, but looks like a whole other person when he's not wearing his glasses. On the top of one side of his head you'll see his hair grows about 6 times as fast as the rest, --his parents tell him he stuck a fork into an outlet when he was 4 and something's been a bit off since.
Ford's a sweet little guy, and often needs protection from his burlier friends.
Just don't let him near an outlet and he isn't any trouble. :-D

...AND, I would like to announce, I just committed some serious awesomeness in booting Found off the front page in one go. *hugs self* Of course, I'll pay for it in one way or another later on, but if you please I believe some congratulations are in order... "OH, yes, yes I know, please, no autographs... Oh if I must..."

Houston Hallows

Houston's is a technical maniac. Any electronic device you own, from pencil sharpener to an ipad and beyond, he knows how to program it, disassemble and reassemble it, make a new own, or fix it. He is a computer prodigy, basically. Funny, because his grandparents on one side are amish. He rarely speaks, and basically never laughs. His mood is generally kind of glum. Houston has a passion for scifi shows and LOTR. Houston's in every way the epitome of geeks, and tends to thrive in his own little world of programming, charging, and fixing, and though he has a really chatty side, it only creeps out from behind that giant mop of hair he has when you talk tech.

Scarlett Reed

Scarlett is ruddy, shy, charming, and on the shorter side of things. Scar is a natural scientist/inventor, inheriting it from his Dad, who won nobel prizes and such. In fact when he was maybe 5 Scarlett made a marble-shooting trebuchet using toothpicks and tape. He has a more normal aspect to him, being slightly less awkward than his friends, but once you get him going you'll find he's actually not as different as you might have expected. Scarlett's bashful, intelligent, and frequently gets headaches. Embarrass him even slightly and he'll turn scarlet, no pun intended.
Scar's a good guy, always obliging, and sensitive for other people.

James

Tall and skinny, James is sort of an in between kinda guy, not sure where he fits in. He loves music, chess, literature, and poetry. No, not your typical modern day teenager. But everything stays in his head nicely and he aces all of his classes, so don't judge him too harshly. Like his friends, his manners are old-fashioned and quirky, but really once you get used to his awkward side he's a fantastic listener and is always there to lend a hand. If there's anyone you can count on for a kind word or a helping hand, it's James.

Hoffernan Stratton

Hoffernan is a borne lawyer, borne to a family of borne lawyers, who, as it happens, were from a long line of lawyers. Greg could've argued you into changing your very beliefs before he turned 6. He's a fantastic student, though occasionally comes off as cocky. He's always ready to stick up for what's right, though, and, in a few words, you basically REALLY want him on your side.

Gregory Ainsworth

First off is Greggs here.

Gregory is something of an amazement. But more on that in a moment, if you please. He's particularly funny, and he's great with improv. Greg is sort of a jack of all trades, but really, REALLY excels in acting. It's incredible... He can perform you right out of existence. He's engaging, believable, handsome, has a strong, clear voice. He's (though he doesn't know it) basically a smack-down heart throb, especially when he's on the stage doing his thing. He's a history whiz, he could talk your ear off about just any battle or skirmish in any country. Greg keeps to himself as much as possible, isn't great  at socializing, like the rest of his group. The only place where he really feels at home is on the stage.

6 Geeks Finished Version

Lost here--So, here they all are. From left to right it's Gregory, Hoffernan, James, Scarlett, Houston, and Ford. On the whole they're all sweet, sensitive, smart, clever boys that just want to learn stuff and soak it all in until their brains overload and their heads blow up. This is them after an Easter mass or summat. They're all from wealthy classy Roman Catholic families in England, and they're all best friends. I am just realizing now that I forgot to colour in their belts. My apologies. Take however distracting it is to you and multiply that x10, and that's how much it's torturing ME right now. Rarity and Spiderman...

Okay, well, this was my first time really using SketchbookExpress, so it's not really very good. I think I may have gone a tad overboard on Spraypaint and mascara, but HEY! It's FAN ART! I'm totally allowed to do it however I want!
This is actually a screenshot of my actual drawing, since the file was too big to be uploaded to the blog in a reasonable amount of time.
If anybody feels awesome, a critique would be wonderful. This isn't drawn in standard MLP style, obviously, but I would love feedback as to what I should change, whatever.

Strange... I think I'm losing my touch. I don't think I have anything new to report. Lemme think... Ladidadida... Oh! I saw The Amazing Spiderman last night! My review?
I won't say too much, in case y'all haven't seen it, but here we go.
Peter Parker was awkward. REALLY awkward. So awkward, that I cringed multiple times while watching the movie. Who knew anyone could be that bad at talking to girls? WHich brings me to my next comment: There was a lot of kissing. Like, a lot. It was a little overboard. A lot overboard. Another thing--Okay, I can't say too much for fear of spoilers, but WHAT THE HECK WAS HE THINKING IN THE END? Talk about LYING MUCH? What a horrible ending! I mean, if I were Gwen, I would have turned around and punched him in the FACE. I thought super heroes were supposed to honor their promises! Isn't that why so many of them get trapped by the villains? But man, I was mad.
Anyway. Overall, it was a good movie, despite its lame ending and exessive awkward moments, I liked it. I'm just glad that Peter isn't an Avenger, because he doesn't deserve the title.
My, this post was longer than I intended...

An Unfinished Group Portrait

Anyway, this is Lost, and these are (from left to right) Gregory, Hoffernan, James, Scarlett, Houston, and Ford. This pic isn't quite done yet. I just felt like posting. I'll have the complete version presently... ...Possibly with a few alterations and some more info. Haven't quite gotten properly acquainted with all of them yet, but I do know this,
THEY'RE ALL GENIUSES BENT ON MAKING EVERYONE LOOK BAD WITH THEIR AMAZING BRAIN SKILLS!!!!! ...Except maybe one of them... Can you guess who?
In the meantime I'm going to fix Ford's face and Greg's awkward posture. And their legs, somewhat.
If you see anything that you think's out of place, this is your last chance to say!
Anyway, I'll return shortly with the final draft and some close-ups.
In the meantime, don't let James's stare hypnotise you. He means well, really.

Rapunzel and Peter Pan.

Okay, so, I know this is kind of odd, but I had gads of fun drawing it, so I'm justified.
This is Rapunzel, from Tangled, and Peter Pan, both Disney. It was kind of a cross between, "I'm not waiting for Flynn to come and get me out of here" and "Who cares about Wendy?" So, yeah, that's what this is.

Well, happy All Saints Day, everyone! And now it's November... Which means it's my month to wash dishes. Blech. I don't like cleaning up after dinner. But I'm rambling now!
Yesterday was gobs of fun! I'm not going to sicken you by telling you how much candy I got, but I will tell you that I just love trick or treating with friends and staying up late on too much sugar!

I've pretty much given up on my To-Draw list, because whenever I sit down with the express intention of drawing a certain thing, it turns out to be something else. This here picture was first going to be Me meeting Peter Pan, and then it was Wendy's great-great-great-something granddaughter. Then it was Rapunzel. I'm telling you, these pictures have minds of their own. There's no stopping them. But as I was saying, I'm not going to promise any pictures, but I do want to draw one of some Avengers, and maybe some Jane Austen ones. Ohh... Me meeting Mr. Darcy. Sounds fun. I'll think about that one.

Loki.... Being Hugged by Yours Truly

TOM HIDDLESTON PLAYED IN RETURN TO CRANFORD!!!!

And this was my reaction: "LOKI! YOU ARE NOW 20% COOLER!"

Yeah. I never got why I love villains so much. I mean, they're EVIL, right? But I love Loki, I love the evil version of Artemis Fowl, (The nice version of him and I didn't get along so well towards the end.) I... Wait... Which other antagonists did I like? Let's see... Oh, Luke, from PJO... And I liked... Oh, I liked Draco Malfoy in the first few books. Lets see... Hehe, Cato, from the Hunger Games, was awesome in a disturbed, creepy, sick way. And I'm brain dead, so I can't think of any others.

Guess what TOMORROW IS?
HALLOWEEN!
I doubt I'll get much drawing done tomorrow, but if I do I'll wish you a Merry Christmas Happy Halloween!

P.S. I don't know if y'all will remember, but a while ago I mentioned getting a cute camo jacket from Goodwill. Well, that's it in the picture, along with my new top I got from the Converse Outlet. *Loves clothes.*
P.S.S. I meant to leave our eyes white. It looked cuter than color.

Escargot

So this isn't anything amazing, just this little thought I had after thinking in great length about how people ate snails. I don't know exactly who the red-headed girl is but I think I'm going to use her for a story or something. She seems kind of nice. Oh, and that's her friend, turning green about the mouth.

Okay, so, see those white dots in their hair? Please tell me what you think of those. It's yet another way of doing reflections/shinyness in hair, and I'm trying to decide wether I like it or not. I think it's definitely more of a cartoony look.

Since I had no idea what cooked snails looked like, (My parents have this thing where google images is restricted--it makes drawing references almost impossible to find. Honestly, when I was drawing Loki, I had to search about everywhere for a picture--no easy way of googling for me, no sirree.) Anyway, I had to imagine it, and if they shrivel up and turn pink when cooked, well, I honestly don't care.

Lee and Aiden

These are my new favorite boys!
Okay, so the blonde guy is Lee and the brown haired one is Aiden. They're brothers who I suppose live somewhere that snows, because out the window you'll see it's coming down hard. I don't know what they're looking up in the paper, but I do know that I had a rotten time drawing that background. I honestly couldn't get the colors right. I tried to make it look like night time, but I don't know how well it  came out.

I have this horrid crick in my neck that I want to complain about--I think I slept on it wrong, because every time I turn my head to the right I feel this nasty evil spasm in my neck. It hurts. Really badly. Anyway, I just wanted to whine about it to someone, so there you go.

Ooh, so I just finished watching Cranford. *Swoons* SUCH a great miniseries. It had such a lovely ending--SOOOOO sweet. I just love happy endings.
