Caden Trust

OK so I`ll be the first to say her skin didn`t scan very well at all and in real life it looks amazing. That having been said,

HEEEEELLOOOOO! Lost  here! (FINALLY, I know) Hope you all had an awesome St. Patrick`s day weekend cus` mine was rather horrible.
Right, so this is Caden Trust, a loyal, blonde, brown-eyed, brown-clothed, palish, mid-evil friend of mine. I`m still working on her character, but that`s what I have so far. Please don`t mention to Caden that she has a rather spooky expression on, trust me, I tried telling her that before and, well, I haven`t walked the same way ever since.

Fading backgrounds

I've been really into doing fading backgrounds lately... Our computer paint program is like THE BEST EVER. I praise it ever higher. It's fun.

No, it's not a wig.... (Colored/Uncolored)

....Why do you ask?

Ok, halfway through coloring this in I had this horrid cramp in my thumb... from drawing too much! I had so much fun with her hair, though... The cramp was sooo worth it. I was like, ooh, I'll make the hair look like cotton candy...  and then I'll put little sparkles here and there... And hey, people can play I Spy with it! I spy with my little eyes, a tiny little crown...

The True Queen of Myynd (Colored/Uncolored)

Our story begins last night, at the very beginning...
After drawing the Queen, I fell asleep. As I slept, my subconscious was pulled into the land of Myynd*. I saw a day when the true ruler would sit upon the throne and peace would fall over the people. I saw a day when the forces of darkness would wither away, and light would rise over the land.
And I saw the True Queen upon the throne, and I knew that our Heroes had succeeded.
*Myynd is a world like ours except magical. It's currently in a civil war.

Colored/Uncolored 3

Note the blue eyes and gem. Like blue fire. Oh, I'm so clever. I really am.

What IS THAT?

"Oh hi, Daphne! How---AAAAAHHHH! THERE'S SOMETHING ON YOUR HEAD!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!!! WHAT!? WHERE!?            Oh. You mean my hat?"
"That's a hat?"
"Naturally."
"Um... May I ask who gave it to you?"
"Found....  Why?"
"Figures it was her, doesn't it?"
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, nothing...She likes a joke, that one, doesn't she?"
"Jokes? Man, Lost, you always were one for changing the subject! We were talking about my hat!"
"I WAS talking about your hat!"

Colored/Uncolored

I don't know why Lost hasn't been posting lately--I think it has something to do with her schedule. Anyway, it's still Found.

Above are two of the same drawings, one colored and the other just penned.
I originally drew this picture as a coloring sheet for my little sisters and their friends. I did this by scanning it onto the computer and printing out a bunch of copies. (It was a big hit.)
I included the uncolored one in the post in case any of you wanted to print it out and color it--It could be fun. You never know. :P

I've been sick and have had like nothing to do but draw lately, if that explains why I've been posting so much. I've been filling my head with ruffles and hats and giant, huge skirts. Have you noticed?

A perfect example of my life.

Why is it a perfect example?
This picture started out as a girl with her hair being blown by the wind, riding a horse.
I didn't like the horse, so I erased it.
Then she looked weird. If she wasn't going fast, why was her hair blowing in that particular fashion?
I erased her hair and gave her long, swirling hair.
Then her nose looked weird.
I erased her nose and redrew it.
But THEN her eyes looked weird! They didn't match up with the nose anymore!
So I erased the eyes and redrew it.
But the way her head was tilting totally killed her hair.
I erased her hair again and redrew it this way.

I sat back and realized something. My drawing had started out as a horse-riding, hair-blowing cowgirl.
Now it was a ladylike, earringed girl.

How does this resemble my life? Well, I expect you believe me to spurt some pearl of wisdom of how, though things may look one way, you should always think it through, etc. etc.

In reality? It just happens to me a lot. That's all.

There can never be too much of a good thing...

....But there can always be too much pink.
I like drawing puffy pink dresses. I'm not a huge pink person, but there's just something really appealing about ridiculous pink dresses.
My mom was looking at it and she's like,
"Is there a BIRD on the hat?"
"Yup," I said.
"And look at all the ruffles... And the bows... Oh, I just noticed the gloves! Oh my gosh! There's just so MUCH of it!"

I agree with her there. There is definetly a lot of it.
My insiration for this dress came from a movie called Howl's Moving Castle, this adaption of a book by Diana Wynne Jones. The movie is super colorful, bright, and like, I don't know how to explain it....  It's like... The colors are all really deep and full. It's an anime film, and the art is spectacular.
So I guess this person would be Fannie Hatter, the main character's mum. I mean, she never actually WORE a dress like this, but it looks like something she would have worn if she ever had the opportunity.

Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra, and Edith with golden hair

Hi! It's Found.

In case any of you don't get the reference, Alice, Allegra, and Edith are from a poem called the Children's Hour. I'm including a few stanzas of it...

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupations,
That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,
Descending the broad hall stair,
Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra,
And Edith with golden hair.

It's a lot longer than that, but I don't think it would all fit very well, and it would make for a really long post. If you want more, look it up.

Anyway, my sister was doing this poem for school this year, so she's always saying it. Actually, I think at some point, ALL my siblings learned it. So it's not really a surprise that I know most of it.
I found it kind of cool that they gave these random discriptions of the girls, like, the three things that summed them up. I also found it funny that while two of the discriptions were like attitudes, (Grave, laughing.) the third was the fact that Edith has golden hair.

Sparkly things and hair with wings

Aloha. Bonjour. Hi. Hello.
It's still ME, Found!

So when I say, "Hair with WINGS," that's poetic license. In other words, or, as my brother would say, I went to the DPL (Department of Poetic Licenses) and was licensed to make things not be the way they are, or something like that. It's quite a nice place, actually. You go and stand in a line and then when it's your turn, you state why you want a license (You have to stand before a bunch of people sitting on Writer's Blocks,) and they give you this lovely contract you have to sign, and then you get a little card saying "(your name here), Licensed Poet."

So I went there a few minutes ag and told them I needed a license for posting "Hair with Wings."
They were all like, "Sign....  Here." And I'm like, "Okie dokie," and VOILA!
Poetic License.

"I WILL HAVE ORDER!"

Hi peoples, it's Found.

For anyone who's ever read Harry Potter, this is Professor Umbridge.
(I get the shivers just thinking about her. She's just so odious.)
Anyway, she's not much like she was in the movie, but she was fun to draw!
Funny how this picture started. I was reading the "Chamber of Secrets"and I remarked to my brother,
"Gosh I just HATE Professor Lockhart!"
"Why'd ya draw a picture of him then!?" replied he.
"I draw picture of characters I don't like!"
"Yeah, ok, then why haven't you draw, like, Umbridge?"
My response was to get up and draw this. He walked by a few minutes later and ADMITTED IT WAS DISTURBING! HAHA!!!

Final score:
Found -- 1
My brother -- 0 (Zip, nil, nata, nothing.)

Eskimo Girl

Lost here.
So, as promised, I`m posting a pic. I have no idea why I drew her, I don`t know her name, I don`t know why she`s dressed so warmly, and as of right now, I`ve forgotten why she`s holding a wooden staff..... It`ll come to me..... Right, anyway, have a good one.

~Lost out

Oh, and her hair`s tied up in a pony-tail by the way.

Lost here, uh, yeah, sorry for not posting anything, my life is crazy right now. I`ll be drawing some this afternoon, so hopefully either later today or tomorrow I`ll have something to post.
Have a great Sunday every-one!
